Azerbaijan Visit Visa from Pakistan

Azerbaijan is the cheapest and fastest of the destinations we cover, and for many Pakistani travellers it is the first stamp in an empty passport.

There is no biometrics appointment for the e-visa route, so the appointment queue that dominates Schengen timelines does not apply.

Entry can still be refused at Baku airport even with a valid e-visa, so the supporting documents matter at the border rather than at application.

Documents you need

• Valid Pakistani passport with at least 6 months validity
• Two recent passport photographs
• Confirmed return flight reservation
• Hotel booking for the full stay
• Bank statement for the last 6 months, stamped by the branch
• Employment NOC or business registration
• Copy of CNIC, front and back

What it costs

• VisaDIY service fee: PKR 10,000. Application completed, documents checked, cover letter and itinerary drafted, appointment tracked, WhatsApp updates.
• Government fee: $25 (about PKR 6,900). $25, converted at the consular rate on the day you pay. Same fee applies.

How long it takes

Decisions typically take 3 to 5 working days, stretching to up to 10 days in peak season. That clock starts at your appointment, not when you decide to apply, so the queue is usually the longer half of the timeline. Start 3 to 4 weeks before you intend to travel.

Why Azerbaijan applications get refused

• Passport validity too short. Under six months at the date of entry.
• Name mismatch. A spelling on the e-visa that does not match the passport exactly. There is no correction at the border.
• Onward evidence missing at the airport. No return ticket or hotel booking presented on arrival.
• Applying through an unofficial reseller. Third-party sites that charge a markup and sometimes submit incorrect details.
