France requires the online pre-application to be completed before the appointment is booked, and the reference number from it must match the file at the counter.
The French consulate is one of the stricter readers of employment evidence for Pakistani applicants, and will call the employer.
Appointments are handled through VFS rather than Gerry's, which puts France on a different queue from most Schengen missions.
How we handle your France application
- Tell us the trip. Dates, travellers and purpose, on the web or on WhatsApp in Urdu or English.
- Upload your documents. We read your passport automatically and tell you what is missing.
- File prepared. Forms completed, cover letter and day-by-day itinerary drafted, documents ordered the way VFS Global expects them.
- Case officer review. Every field and every document, checked before anything is submitted.
- Appointment tracked. We watch VFS Global availability and message you the moment a date opens.

What it costs
- VisaDIY service fee: PKR 20,000. Application completed, documents checked, cover letter and itinerary drafted, appointment tracked, WhatsApp updates.
- Government fee: €90 (about PKR 28,900). €90, converted at the consular rate on the day you pay. EUR 45 for ages 6 to 12, free under 6.
Total via VisaDIY: PKR 48,900 per applicant. We do not mark up government or centre charges.
How long it takes
Decisions typically take 15 calendar days, stretching to 30 to 45 days in peak season. That clock starts at your appointment, not when you decide to apply, so the queue is usually the longer half of the timeline. Start 6 to 8 weeks before you intend to travel.
Why France applications get refused
- Employer cannot be reached. The NOC lists a phone number nobody answers. Give a number that will be picked up.
- Pre-application mismatch. Details entered online that differ from the printed form or the documents.
- Purpose of travel unclear. Tourism stated with no itinerary showing what you will actually do.
- Bank balance built too recently. Funds that appeared in the last few weeks rather than held over six months.
How we checked these figures
- verified Government fee. EU Visa Code short-stay fee (EUR 90 adult / EUR 45 child 6-12 / free under 6), in force since 11 June 2024
Fees are set in foreign currency and converted at the consulate’s own rate on the day you pay, which is not the market rate. Rupee amounts here use a reference rate from 19 August 2026 and will drift.
