The real timeline
- Day 0: You send us the trip details and upload documents
- Day 1 to 4: We prepare the file and a case officer reviews it
- Then: the appointment queue at Gerry’s Chinese Visa Application Service Centre, which moves hour to hour and which we watch on your behalf
- Appointment day: submission and biometrics
- Then: 4 working days for a decision, up to 10 days at peak
- Finally: passport collection or courier return
What slows it down
- Applying between May and August, or around Eid and December
- Bank statements without a branch stamp, which trigger a document request
- Dates that disagree between flights, accommodation and the form
- Any previous refusal in the last twelve months
- A request to attend an interview, which is uncommon but adds weeks
What you cannot speed up
